Santa Rosa - Honduras

We were on the road again! First into a TukTuk.
Bags onto the roof of the minibus. We are off to Santa Rosa!
Old men were chatting - the hats are worn everyday, all day!
The streets in the small Honduran towns are all cobbled, the TukTuks bounce and rattle over them.
The streets are very steep.
That night it had rained, the clouds were still clinging to the mountains.
Just opposite the bus stop was a mural. Saying something?
We were off promptly at 8.00am, passing the horse and its rider.
This was another day of mountain ranges! As we neared the Border with El Salvador we noticed the style of the houses were changing, Much lower roofs and always tiled.
Every town had an army of TukTuks!
We had to stay in Santa Rosa as we couldn't get to the small town in El Salvador in one day.
Santa Rosa doesn' t have tourists! There is little to do, except wander the streets!
The main Plaza had a huge tree in it.
 an ancient colonial church.
With an  interesting notice.
In English - To communicate with God you do not need a mobile - turn it off!!!!!!!!
The church was under renovation.
But there were some interesting side panels - all very old.
There was no electricity in the village because the teachers were on strike. this gave the politicians a chance to tell the workers that the country belonged to them and they should run it.
It gave me the chance to record some interesting faces.
Hats first!
Hats and faces now.

The Electricity office looked a little old!
We supposed that the Mayor had some electricity in his Palace!
There were a few Colonial buildings.
Some of them had such a high curb stone it was difficult to get up and down.
This part of the world is very grubby, we left Santa Rosa with this impression.
