The Journey a brief stop in Buenos Aires

The red bag with its label has become the traditional start to my blog.
Yes the red bag is still travelling!
The departure board is set - the flight is on time!
We are travelling via Sao Paulo
Our first time in Heathrow Terminal 5 was a good experience.
15 hours inside a "tube", we needed some comfort!
And sustenance!
Buenos Aires - we have visited before, so we just spent the night in a very pretty B & B.
With a view of the rooftops.
and courtyard garden.
In the afternoon we took the metro, admiring the ceramic panels depicting the history of the city.
To visit the Confiteria Ideal, where Madonna learnt to Tango.
Upstairs is a room for afternoon tea dances.
Straight out of the 1930's, it is now in desperate need of restoration.
We were delighted to see several couples dancing and a few taking lessons.
We spent a very pleasant hour watching them.
Walking back to the hotel through tree lined streets we noticed
that many of the old buildings were in a sorry state.
A simple supper and an early night was called for as we were
off at 7am the next morning to fly down to Patagonia.
